There is no better time than now to convert your priceless, one of a kind home movies to long-lasting DVD. Most home movies shot on VHS tapes are already 15-20 years old or older. 8-MM, HI-8, and Digital-8 tapes came along in the late 80’s. If you still have a VHS player and are using it to watch your home movies, it is just a matter of time before the old tapes deteriorate and become unplayable or until the tapes stretch or break. When that happens your videos are gone forever. Let us convert them to DVD so you and your family can enjoy watching them for generations to come
From This To This
We offer two options:
- Video Editing – This is our most popular option. The price is based on the number of DVDs you end up with, not the number of video tapes you bring to us. We combine video from multiple tapes (up to a maximum of 2 hours of video) to each DVD. If you have four tapes with 30 minutes of video on each one, we will combine that to a single DVD. We also thoroughly review the video on your tapes and edit out all blank or empty spaces. We can also edit out any scenes that you do not want on the DVD.As we review the tapes we create “chapters” at specific time intervals or at scenes or subject changes in the video content. We create a DVD interactive menu with thumbnail images from the beginning of each “chapter”. We then create the DVD from the edited video. We also create a custom designed label for the DVD and also for the DVD case. These labels include the name of the DVD and snapshots taken from the video. Your DVD is packaged in a full size CD case. This is the ultimate way to preserve your old video home movies for you, your children, and your grandchildren!!
- Tape Copy – For those who simply want a backup copy of each tape. This is our least expensive option. The price is based on the number of tapes, and each tape is copied to a separate DVD. This option does not include any video editing and we do not combine multiple tapes to a single DVD. If you have four tapes with 30 minutes of video on each one, we will copy the video to four DVDs.
